We appreciate your consideration of our school for your child during these most important years of growth, development, and learning.
Here at Davidson Montessori School we educate the whole child because “each child is constantly working towards the person they will become…” (Maria Montessori)
We are an Eco-Friendly Montessori School that strives to sustain the planet with our practices and in the way we teach your children.
We understand that choosing a school can be a challenging and difficult decision. We know that we offer a great experience. At Davidson Montessori School we are focused on the child and we are committed to sharing the responsibilities with parents in helping each child reach his or her potential in a safe, healthy, warm and loving environment. We are confident that you and your family will find your time with our family and in our community to be an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
Dr. Maria Montessori believed that every child delights in spontaneous activity directed towards intellectual discovery. The attitudes and confidence developed during these formative years will serve the child throughout their lifetime. Students at Davidson Montessori School are honored and respected as the unique individuals that they are. In a Montessori environment, your child will develop a sense of order, concentration, coordination and independence. Thus, values such as compassion, harmony, and justice develop naturally in our environment.
An expression of a parent in our school
My children joined Davidson Montessori School in January, 2011.
We decided to make the change due to Ms. Andrea’s compassionate energy and presence. She has the power to calm children through her quiet teaching approach.
The Montessori curriculum is presented in such a way that my children have absorbed every ounce of new information, new style of learning, and new ways of functioning in a classroom environment. The importance of nature and nature play have provided my children a great appreciation for their Ecosystem. These last five months have also influenced our parenting approach. At home my husband and I reinforce Ms. Andrea’s Montessori discipline philosophies, classroom procedures, and life skills. My children have developed a love of learning; but most importantly, they feel empowered when it comes to what they learn and how they learn. According to my boys; there are not enough hours in the day to explore every blade of grass, to read every book on the shelf, to learn a new lesson and to try to prepare every of morsel of food in the kitchen.
Ms. Andrea, your kindness, energy, and dedication are greatly appreciated.
With great respect,
Stephanie Bloom
